  • MaryAnn Roberts, MS, FNP-C

    MS, FNP-C

    Family nurse practitioner MaryAnn Roberts earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a member of the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Prior to joining JenCare, MaryAnn was one of the charge nurses on the cardiology stepdown telemetry unit at Virginia Commonwealth University Health in Richmond, Virginia. MaryAnn understands that the senior population is faced with the challenges of multiple medical conditions. “I like to assist with the coordination of care to overcome these obstacles and get to the bottom of complex issues to help my patients,” she said. “I listen, ask questions, talk with the family and get the whole picture in order to best diagnose and treat the patient.”

  • Pauravi Sanghadia-Bhatt, MD

    Dr. Pauravi Sanghadia-Bhatt is an experienced physician whose knowledge and compassion help make a difference in the lives of hospitalized patients. "I enjoy caring for patients' health," says Dr. Bhatt, "especially seniors who often have complex medical needs. I want to ensure that they get the most appropriate, well-coordinated care possible in and out of the hospital setting, so they can get back to what’s most important – enjoying the people and things that make their lives good."  Dr. Bhatt specializes in internal and hospital medicine, primary and urgent care, skilled nursing inpatient care, rehabilitation and long-term acute care. As a hospitalist, she works with a variety of primary and specialty care physicians, coordinating patients' many care needs while they're hospitalized at St. Mary's and Chippenham Hospitals in Richmond. Outside of work, Dr. Bhatt spends time with her husband and daughter. Her interests include music, geography and current affairs, as well as hiking, traveling, playing badminton and designing handcrafts and wearable art.

    Taylor Krafcik has a passion for helping people achieve balance in their lives naturally. “After seeing the amazing potential that acupuncture has to heal, I knew I wanted to help people in that way,” Taylor says. As a licensed acupuncturist, Taylor enjoys being part of an integrative team that cares for seniors. He has experience working with a variety of health concerns, such as pain, sleep issues, anxiety, depression, stress, addictions, and high blood pressure. “Since everyone is unique, I tailor treatments for each patient’s whole body – physical, emotional, and spiritual,” Taylor adds.

  • Reman Dhaliwal, DPM

    DPM

    With her extensive medical training and professional experience, Dr. Reman Dhaliwal treats patients experiencing a wide variety of foot and ankle problems. "I want to make a positive difference in the lives of others," says Dr. Dhaliwal. "One way I'm able to do that is by helping them preserve their mobility. Proper foot care, especially for anyone with a chronic condition like diabetes, is important to overall health and well-being." She works side-by-side with primary care doctors and other medical specialists to ensure her patients receive the highest level of care. When she isn't working, Dr. Dhaliwal enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. Dr. Dhaliwal earned her medical degree at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. She completed her residency at Veterans Affairs Healthcare Systems in Baltimore, specializing in clinical and surgical podiatry. She is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management, and Maryland Podiatry Medical Association. She is fluent in English and Hindi.

    As a physician, Dr. Onan Bomar loves “the complexity of how many simple ideas and concepts must be put together to provide care.” He believes transparency is key in establishing trust and wants his patients to feel empowered and in control of their care. Dr. Bomar views medicine as a combination of science and art and explains that if he could change anything about healthcare, it would be the cost and waste. As a child, Dr. Bomar was military dependent. Although he is from Florida, he has had the opportunity to travel across the United States and to different parts of the world. In his free time, he loves spending time with his two sons, watching movies, and trying new foods. Dr. Bomar also enjoys cross-stitching.

    Growing up, Dr. Otshumba Omadjela was inspired by her mother, a nurse in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She also witnessed the lack of accessible healthcare, which motivated her to pursue a career in medicine. She is passionate about preventative care and employs a holistic approach in her practice. She strives to empower patients, explaining that she provides each patient with “time and space to express their concern without interruptions.” Connecting with patients is one of her favorite parts of her profession. “We will work through each concern and navigate together toward a healthier lifestyle,” she says. In her free time, Dr. Omadjela enjoys spending time with family and learning how to cook food from different cultures.

    Dr. Fatimah Alfaraj knew at a young age that she wanted to work in medicine. She believes in “patient-focused” healthcare and says her favorite part of her profession is “helping people in need.” She adds, “I have a passion for the elderly population.” She likes educating patients and assisting them with disease prevention and management. She aims to treat patients like family and vows to always be there for them. “I take my patients very seriously,” she says. She often reads about the newest updates to keep up with the ever-evolving world of medicine. In her free time, Dr. Alfaraj enjoys reading, cooking, and going on long walks. She also loves perfume and is interested in learning how to create perfumes.

    After watching her grandmother suffer from a stroke, Dr. Jasmeet Sekhon became determined to “learn more about the human body and how to keep it healthy.” She is a believer in preventative care and always takes the time to listen to patients. “I build a good relationship with my patients where I get to know them and what is important to them,” she explains. One of her favorite parts of her profession is making positives changes in people’s lives. “Not only do I try to improve their health but also their well-being,” she says. Dr. Sekhon has lived in several countries and says that learning about different cultures has helped her better connect with patients. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and traveling with her husband.

    Dr. Sasha-Kay D’Aguilar became inspired to become a doctor after reading Gifted Hands by Dr. Ben Carson. “I started to believe that even an island girl from Jamaica can make a difference,” she says. Building relationships with patients is her favorite part of her profession. She always listens to their concerns and treats them with empathy. She likes educating patients about their health conditions and “empowering them to take control of their health and wellbeing.” She adds, “I have a responsibility to improving my patients’ health, and I take this responsibility very seriously. Being a physician is my passion.” Dr. D’Aguilar loves spending quality time with her family. She also enjoys traveling, dancing, and watching movies.
